  • First Karen, Congratulations. I did not have to get up early tomorrow morning to read this. (not sarcastic)

Christ is everything in the Christian life. The smartest thing a human can do is to Consider Him. It is hard to grasp that HE holds the entire universe together by His power. Why do I worry.

Of course, that Colossians verse has a zinger--I have to shape up and fly right. One day this potential corpse of mine will finally shut up. In the mean time, I slug it out. I am glad that the Holy Spirit is the Referee.

  • @ANVRSADDAY - lol - Well, I'm thankful you were saved some extra beauty sleep. :P

"The smartest thing a human can do is to Consider Him." – Yes! But how much of our time is spent considering any and everything else! It's much too easy for us to take our salvation for granted, and/or to attribute it to ourselves in some way, rather than seeing that all we have comes from God and it is all to God's glory alone.

I Cor. 4:7b What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?

Eph. 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Thank God. He can make men and women in middle life sing again with a joy that has been chastened by a memory of their past failures. ~ Alan Redpath
