Are you really Mine?
If you keep sliding
Rejecting My designMy holy Words despising
My blessed Son crucifyingEmbracing iniquity
Taking the accursed thingLodging in the far country
Tarrying at the wineSquandering your property
Enjoying the pig styAre you really Mine?
Are you single-eyed?
Is your heart circumcised?Baptized into Christ
With Christ, you dieAll who are Mine
Once for all to sin dieTo Me are made alive
All My sons purifyDrink of the Sanctifier
Bear godly fruit, not briersAre you really Mine?
Am I not all-satisfying?
Are you really alive? Were you ever alive?
Are you really Mine?Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they then fall away, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. 7 For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. 8 But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.
9 Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things—things that belong to salvation. 10 For God is not so unjust as to overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do. 11 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
II Timothy 2:19 But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”
20 Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. 21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
22 So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
I John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.

nice post
I love your poem. Very beautiful. Inspiring post, friend.
Hi Karen, always a good reminder to keep Christ first and foremost in our minds. I read another very brief post today that addressed the issue of unchanged lives in the 'Christian community.' It is tough---so easy to get distracted.
I have been told many times the the Devil's main weapon is depression. For me it is distractions.
blessings,

This is THE question we must learn to answer according to the Word of God. He establishes just whose we are and makes it clear to us when we seek Him and seek to know Him with all our hearts. From there on, having established that we are His, we learn that He loved us before we knew Him and that will ignite the fire of His love in us to return itl How could we not want to rise above base passions and behaviors so as to feel His acceptance of us as His children as well as to know it?
Hey Karen,
We're totally in agreement on this. Thank you for using your gift to encourage the body where it is needed!
@dmcx2010 - @dreamwraith - Thank you.
@ANVRSADDAY - The devil has a multitude of means to cause us to lapse and no longer make Christ our first Love. When He's not our first Love, we aren't being vigilant about being holy as He is holy.
@quest4god@revelife - Yes, according to the Word of God. If we're not checking ourselves against the Word of God, we will be deceived.
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
I John 3:3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
@FearofGodandPerfectLove - Thanks, David. I know you take God's call to holiness seriously.
