  • I am a leopard - Christ is a lion ~ The Resurrection Celebration

    I. I am a leopard

    Jeremiah 13:23
Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots?
Then also you can do good who are accustomed to do evil.

    I am a leopard
    spots unchanging

    I am a leopard
    sin enslaving

    I am a leopard
    holiness rejecting

    I am a leopard
    darkened thinking

    I am a leopard
    passions raging

    I am a leopard
    selfishly seeking

    I am a leopard
    evil unrestraining

    I am a leopard
    law breaking

    I am a leopard
    iniquities staining

    I am a leopard
    idols erecting

    I am a leopard
    ever transgressing

    I am a leopard
    truth disregarding

    I am a leopard
    neck unbending

    I am a leopard
    rebellion unrelenting

    I am a leopard
    helplessly failing

    I am a leopard
    consistently flailing

    I am a leopard
    perpetually straying

    I am a leopard
    outwardly primping

    I am a leopard
    inwardly expiring

    I am a leopard
    garments rending

    I am leopard
    heart unwrenching

    I am a leopard
    death reigning

    I am a leopard
    vainly striving

    I am a leopard
    hopelessly weeping

    III. The Resurrection Celebration

Revelation 5:11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” 13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”

Come, leopards one and leopards all
As many leopards as the Lion will call

Weep no more, you spotted leopards
Come with me to Christ the Shepherd

Weep no more, count no more your spots
Come to the fount: His blood mercies forever blot

Come now, leopards from across the earth,
Worship the Lamb who gave you second birth

Weep no more, dear leopards, look to the Lion
Come join ev'ry nation gathering at Mount Zion

Weep no more, lift your voices to the great I AM
Worship the Lion Jesus as the slain Paschal Lamb

Leopards, gather 'round the throne in adoration sweet
Unworthy leopards kneel humbly at the mercy seat

Leopards, sing aloud to the Lion of Judah with glad jubilation
Come join the saints' everlasting resurrection celebration

  • I'm glad you didn't write the whole post about "I am an Ethiopian"...a lot of racial things happening there.

"Jesus bless the crocodiles, forgive the cobras and all the snakes

Open up Your arms to carry all of our mistakes
Suck the venom from every bite, vomit every drop
Some of us my bite Your hand, but some of us will not
And every knee will bow before you"

  • @dmcx2010 - Thank you.

@llamalima - Um, yeah... No, I'm not writing that... I love the reference to the leopard and his spots. I actually may write something else on it regarding self-help, which is really NO help...

That lyric is really unique and piercing.
