  • "my heart hardened to Your call
I boasted in self and stood tall

my eyes moved away from the Son
and so commenced my prodigal run"

As soon as we quit looking "unto Jesus" we begin to see ourselves as righteous, forgetting that our only righteousness is in Him  We measure ourselves against others and imagine that we have stature above them, forgetting that ALL have sinned includes us.

Why do we persist in resisting His word?   He WILL complete His work in us!

  • @quest4god@revelife - We are in a love affair with self, self, self!  We love to look at self, self, self! – and we love to make much of self, self, self! – and not Christ, Christ, Christ! And as soon as we begin to do that, we sink and sink badly!

We resist b/c we are sinners through and through! But yes, thank God HE will complete the work He's begun. Jude 24-25!

  • The Father's warm reception.   All thanks and  praise to Him!

About me...

Christian hedonist in training. Pressing on to know more and more of the joy of the LORD. Pleading with God to rend the heavens and revive and refresh my own soul, as well as His Church, to His praise, honor and glory.

Thank God. He can make men and women in middle life sing again with a joy that has been chastened by a memory of their past failures. ~ Alan Redpath
