I thought it would be easier
I thought it would be easier
this time aroundour friendship born at Calvary
for His great renowntwo hearts beating for Christ's glory
but tonight one is slowing downI thought it would be easier
this time aroundbetrothed to our Beloved Bridegroom
sinners washed and clothed in His bridal gowneverlasting life secured by bloody glory
please forgive me if I frownI thought it would be easier
this time aroundwe raced toward the prize of the high calling
striving for the incorruptible crownour footsteps quickened for Zion's glory
yours are a bit nearer Higher GroundI thought it would be easier
this time aroundthrough death you'll soon be carried away
holy angels will gather roundour alleluias lifting to our Redeemer in glory
for your living soul delivered to His bosom safe and sound

Good Morning, Karen
Death is our enemy on earth even when we know God's amazing love has prepared a place of us and our Christian loved ones in heaven.

Interesting.
"Goodbye," even though only for a while is not easy. I know something about that. But "goodbye" when you lose contact (no phone, email, facebook) is just plain lonely, and our hearts know that even before it happens. She is happier than ever, and we know that; but....
God bless you sister
@ANVRSADDAY - Amen, Frank.
@SerenaDante - Care to elaborate?
@quest4god@revelife - Though I knew it this, it really began to hit me why it's been so hard, b/c this friend has been one of my closest spiritual friends ever. I've lost family and friends to death, but never someone with whom I bared my soul with as I have done w/ her.
@EthanHelm - Thank you SO much, brother.
@naphtali_deer - This is what I had sensed. Now Your Shepherd will take what you've shared with your friend and sanctify it. It is almost as if she were taking her rewards for her friendship and prayers she had with you to lay them at His feet.
Of all that the Father has given Him, He loses none of it. I feel the same way about Peggy's entrance into His presence - almost as if His intercession for me has new meaning.
