  • How very rebellious!   How revolutionary!

"Isn't it time for a little rebellion?

Instead of preaching from popular books filled with no Scripture,
let's rebel and open up the Word of God!

    Yes!  Let's!

  • Reformation is only necessary when we deviate from what God wants us to be. That means if it ain't broken, don't fix it. Nevertheless, a lot needs to be fixed in the Christendom today as in Roman Catholicism, hence the birth of Protestantism. Even so, none of the existing Reformations had managed to correct every problem in the Christendom. We have to reform until we've reached the point of perfection, then, reform would cease to be beneficial.

    • The Reformers had this saying: ecclesia reformata semper reformanda secundum verbum Dei [the church reformed, always being reformed, according to the word of God]. Though Christ has saved His people from the penalty and the power of sin, while we are in this life, we still have to deal with the ongoing presence of sin; therefore individual Christians and the Church as a whole remain in the process of being sanctified. It's true we won't be able to correct every problem, but we should be doing all we can to work toward purity in doctrine and practice in our individual lives as well as in the Body of Christ. God's desire is for Christ's bride to holy and blameless before Him.

Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.

25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. 28 In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, 30 because we are members of his body. 31 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. 33 However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Christian hedonist in training. Pressing on to know more and more of the joy of the LORD. Pleading with God to rend the heavens and revive and refresh my own soul, as well as His Church, to His praise, honor and glory.

Thank God. He can make men and women in middle life sing again with a joy that has been chastened by a memory of their past failures. ~ Alan Redpath
