O prowling lion,
Know this:
Even if you cut off my earthly crowns,
it will only cause me to run harder and with more certainty to obtain the imperishable crown
Know this:
my fellowship with my God
is eternal, everlasting
I can never be cut off from Him
because He cut the covenant in my place
Jesus Christ lived the life I could never live
the sinless Lamb died the death I deserved
Prowling lion,
Yes, I know you to be a wicked foe who seeks to work me woe
but know this:
You have no power on earth but what the Lion of Judah gives you from above
You have no power to separate me from my Father's love in Christ Jesus
You are a defeated foe!

Even if you cut off my earthly acclaim
it will only cause me to hear more clearly the Spirit bearing witness that I am a child of God
Know this:

There is at least one thing that the prowling lion cannot touch - that spirit-born person that you are. That which is born of God cannot sin (and cannot perish). Praise God, for our life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. (The lion will be saying, "where'd he/she go?) There is no power greater than our Great Redeemer.
@quest4god@revelife - Amen. I love the way you put that, Norm. Thanks. I really enjoyed writing this. Now I need to ask God to keep writing these truths even more deeply on my heart.

Our Lord WILL win the battle - He is already the victor!
I will not boast in anything,
no gifts, no power, no wisdom.
but I will boast in Jesus Christ,
His death and resurrection.
There is so much more to praise Him for, but not enough books to hold it all. Amen!

@quest4god@revelife - Hmm...yes not enough books. Can you imagine what heaven will really be like? Endless praises and boasts in Him alone! ∞ ∞ ☺
@pamilvr - Yes, encouragement IS good! It is so necessary for us to encourage ourselves and one another, to keep taking the promises of Scripture and rereading them to ourselves to counteract the wily schemes of the devil.
Re: Job: God will supply us w/ ample grace to get through whatever He allows in our lives (I Cor. 10:13), but then we are responsible to act through the power He supplies. Phil. 2:12-13. Grace & peace, brother. Isaiah 26:3.
@naphtali_deer - And the stories! The endless stream of stories the saints will tell forever how Our King came through victorious! Praise His Name forever!!
