  • I must say I quite like broadband if it means I can watch random videos like this. Odd Americans is all I have to say.

  • @llamalima - Broadband. Indeed. Yes, this is definitely a vital use of such technology.

Hey, what can I say? Since we don't have kangaroos here, we take in deer...

  • @naphtali_deer -

We don't have kangaroos here though...

  • @llamalima - My bad...wallaby then, or kiwi...

  • That's Canal Fulton, Ohio, right?  See why I had to move away from there?

  • My wife would love to have such an animal in our house. lol

  • @naphtali_deer -

Sooo...I hear you Americans quite like your maple syrup...

  • @quest4god@revelife - Yes, Ohio. I didn't know where it was. You don't know these folks, do you?

  • @ANVRSADDAY - :Yes, but would your birds and dog like that?

  • @llamalima - Whoa! What's w/ that picture...

Soo...Marmite... (disclaimer: I never actually tasted Marmite, but have had Vegemite.)

  • @naphtali_deer - No, I was just kidding.  Not everyone in Ohio has a wild animal living in their house - but I do like living in Carolina better!

  • Iwill have to go to a reg compy tomorrow bc I can't see it from here. It's driving me crazy from the comments. LOL.

  • @naphtali_deer -

Yes, that's my face, I'm sorry if it hurt your eyes...=)

Marmite is amazing I tell you, much better than that Vegemite crap that Australians eat...

  • Bah. Humbug..... It's JANUARY! My New Year's resolution # 15 said no more ice cream..... ;>)

  • @naphtali_deer -

My wife loves the animal and bird kingdoms. She has very strong views. She believes that all wild life photographers who film predators killing other animals for food and did not try to save the animal victim, will be judged by God.

  • @YouTOme - I'd meant to tag you...I suspect you'll like it deary deer. :)

  • @llamalima - It didn't hurt my eyes (lol), but the pic did surprise me. The b/w is a little intense, IMHO. (May that's cuz I'm a "girl." rotfl)

Marmite amazing? Hmmm. Would you recommend I serve some at our Super Bowl party?

  • @Biblerapture - No more ice cream?! Anything, anything but THAT! (well, just about...)

  • @ANVRSADDAY - Those are really strong views. Curious: is your wife a vegetarian then?

  • @naphtali_deer -

My wife is not a vegetarian. She murders snails in cold blood, eats McDonald's hamburgers with no thought of the slaughtered animal.

In my family, consistency is not a virtue.

  • Not only is the video off the wall but your posters have a good sense of humor

  • @naphtali_deer -

Wowsers, you racked up 75 views on this blog...more than a normal one. So, I'm thinking you should use humour more in your blogs and less of that Bible stuff, and you'll get more views...! Logical I tell you, all the churches are doing it now a days...

Yep, I think you totally should serve Marmite, maybe skip the Super Bowl part though...=P

  • @ANVRSADDAY - I didn't think she was, but I wasn't sure. Do snails actually have blood?

  • @neeci222 - Thanks...I guess.

  • @llamalima - Yeah, I figured you'd have something like that to say about the Super Bowl since it's "lame" American football...Still undecided about the Marmite (don't even know if they sell it around here).

    Re: your other observation:

So, I'm thinking you should use humour more in your blogs and less of that Bible stuff, and you'll get more views...! Logical I tell you, all the churches are doing it now a days...

Hmmm, yeah, great idea! Why didn't I think of that? And they can write on my tombstone: "Made top blogs w/ a deer video."

    *hits head against wall*

    Grrr...

seeking to up my view count...seeking to be faithful to His calling...

    Grrr...Make war! Rawrrr!

(Granted, there is a time & a place for humour (humor) for sure.)

I do have an unfinished post about the Church & entertainment I think I will definitely have to dig out soon...

I am SO thankful that there are others like you who are seeking to guard, lift up and be rooted in the Gospel of Christ.

    Thanks, brother.

  • @naphtali_deer -

You got onto the top blogs? Cool, anyway,I'm convinced the Xanga team removes anything overtly Christian before it get too high in the top blogs. Whenever I do venture over to the top blogs, I never see any of the Christian heavyweights on there. ie Nick, Travis or Tom and anyone else.

Haha, well, I approve of anything that is against seeker-sensitive churches. So shoot right ahead...! I am thankful that other people do indeed share my dreams.

  • awwww. i love this! =) awww. i'm in deer heaven! =)

  • @ANVRSADDAY -

What about the ones that interfere and cause the predator to starve?

  • I think deer hunting would be more difficult after knowing a deer can be domesticated.

  • @llamalima - Yeah. Top blogs. I think a post I did on legalism last year ended up there; it got a ton of recs and readers in a short time. Over time I do get a lot of hits on some of my posts, but rarely all at once like this one had.

You see some posts by Christians on top blogs occasionally. It's kind of a mixed bag. I've seen some there by those brothers you've mentioned plus some others. I've wondered if Xanga purposefully chooses some blogs of Christians to encourage (or better said, incite?) further comments (makes sense, controversy ups view counts = good for Xanga). I've also seen some of what I would call middle of the road posts; they're fine and Scriptural but not super deep, and I do know that's definitely good & helpful for some people. My standard is pretty high. I'd love to see more really meaty stuff there, but that's me. I figure if you offer it and people are really hungry, they'll come and eat. But sometimes they have to get a few tastes of the meat to know it's what they're really hungry for, to get used to the taste of it.

Haha, well, I approve of anything that is against seeker-sensitive churches. So shoot right ahead...! I am thankful that other people do indeed share my dreams.

I definitely share that dream w/ you!

  • @MagisterTom - Hmmm...Perhaps. I wonder. I've never hunted.
