  • Oh my!  My little list left out so many important things that I am truly thankful for.

Thank you Lord for your mercy and grace to one who needed You and had no ability to bridge that gap that my sin had caused.

    Thank you, again and again...forever!

    Karen,

    Thank you for this post!

  • @quest4god@revelife - Norm, I couldn't have written what you wrote. We're all different yet all one in Him. So our songs and praises will come out uniquely. (Fearfully and wonderfully made. :) ) As I said, I thought your song was so wonderful and it so increased my joy! Your joy increased my joy. That's why we need to share our praises w/ one another. We rejoice in Him all the more when we do so!

Yesterday I had wanted to write something but throughout the day I was so focused on repentance (e.g.- thinking back to the Ezekiel 16 passage & our beginnings & our (my) continuing need of repentance), so this is what came out. Each day brings a different song of praise, but they are all praises to our God. We sing the song He's given us for each day...and then the song He gives us the next day and so on. And then when we're done here, we'll continue to sing forever and ever and ever...this is just a warm-up...and then think of it: we shall see Him as He is! The songs we sing now are wonderful...but how much more they will be then when we see Him face to face! When we've been there 10,000 years..."How can I keep from singing?" Keep singing, bro! (I know you will.)

Thank God. He can make men and women in middle life sing again with a joy that has been chastened by a memory of their past failures. ~ Alan Redpath
